Following the success of his acclaimed PAPER MONSTERS solo debut, DAVE GAHAN returns with his LIVE MONSTERS DVD March 1 on Mute records. Filmed at the Olympia in Paris during "The Paper Monsters" tour, LIVE MONSTERS captures all the energy of GAHAN's electric live performances in addition to exclusive DVD extras that include "Live Monsters-A Short Film," with interviews of GAHAN and the band, plus a new acoustic version of "Dirty Sticky Floors."

PAPER MONSTERS, released in June 2003 to overwhelming critical acclaim, was recently named one of Q Magazine's Top 50 Albums of the Year while bubbling under as one of Uncut's Albums of the Year. Produced by Ken Thomas (of Sigur Ros fame) and composed by GAHAN and multi-instrumentalist Knox Chandler, PAPER MONSTERS thrills with a variety of inspired music: from the rock-star bravado of "Dirty Sticky Floors" and "Bottle Living," to the quiet awe of "Stay" and the pulsing "I Need You."

GAHAN is backed on the LIVE MONSTERS DVD by guitarist Chandler, bass player Martyn Lenoble, keyboardist Vincent Jones and drummer Victor Indrizzo. Chandler's credits include playing on Depeche Mode's EXCITER album, as well as discs by R.E.M. and Siouxsie and the Banshees. Lenoble has played with Porno for Pyros and Janes Addiction; Jones has recorded with Sarah McLachlan and Cowboy Junkies; Indrizzo has worked with Beck, Macy Gray, The Vines and Liz Phair.

LIVE MONSTERS highlights include the album's singles; "'Dirty Sticky Floors," "I Need You" and the double A side songs "Bottle Living/Hold On." Additionally, the DVD features an assortment of fan favorites, including "Walking in My Shoes," "Personal Jesus" and "Never Let Me Down Again."
