Depeche Mode 'Suffer Well' 2006

‘Suffer Well’ is the third single from the number one album ‘Playing The Angel’.

"Suffer Well" is going to be released on February 17 (EU), Feb 20 (UK), and Feb 21 (US).

Undoubtedly a highlight of Dave Gahan’s three contributions to their acclaimed LP, ‘Suffer Well’ is produced by Ben Hillier of Doves and Blur fame.

In December 2005, Dave Gahan recorded a special vocal track for the song; with help from EA Games, the lyrics were translated into "Simlish" (the language of the game The Sims 2) and later appeared in The Sims 2: Open For Business as one of the game's new songs.

Dave Gahan: "'Suffer Well' in Simlish sounds if not strange, very peculiar. That's why we agreed to this experiment". “Depeche Mode has always been open to new ways of sharing our music, but re-recording a Simlish-language version of 'Suffer Well' just sounded completely bizarre. Of course, that’s why couldn’t resist doing it”.
